Having worked for various companies over the years, I know how important it is to believe in the company that you work for, be able to stand by their practices and how they treat their people, and confidently align with their core values.
I can honestly say that in all my years of work experience, I have only worked for one company that I was not comfortable representing.
Needless to say I quickly moved on.
When looking to work for a company or start a new business, make sure it feels right.
Make sure that what you are asked to do feels authentic.
Make sure that the systems in place are set up to help you succeed.
Make sure that the people around you are winning and are happy.
Make sure that the culture is welcoming and supportive.
Go with your gut and if something feels off, chances are you’re right.
Trust yourself!
If your company speaks your language and you can wholeheartedly stand behind them, consider yourself lucky and keep doing what you’re doing.
If not, maybe it’s time to move on.
